On Sunday, a longtime travel writer arrived for a brief stay and "refresher" on Resort at Squaw Creek.  He was staying in a Valley View Fireplace Suite.  (Most of the resort's rooms are suites.)  Anyhow, this well-traveled gentleman mentioned that the first thing he did when he arrived in his room was to turn around the comfy chair in the living room area so he could look out the window and take in the stunning view of Olympic Valley.  With the snow-covered meadow in the foreground and the sweeping vista of the snow-whalloped Sierra peaks in the distance, it's truly a sight to behold.  So, next time you're visiting, opt for a valley view room, turn the chair around, and take in the view of nature's wonder.  It's as good as meditation.
