Sunriver Non-Profit Helps Vulnerable Deschutes County Families
Earlier this month a team of volunteers came together at Cynthia’s Sewing Center in Bend, Oregon to cut and sew hats and scarves at the 4th Annual Sew-a-Thon.
The event benefits Wonderland Express, a non-profit organization created through the spirit of Traditions at Sunriver Resort eight years ago. The organization is dedicated to helping Deschutes County’s vulnerable children and their families have a holiday filled with fun and laughter. The dedicated cadre of volunteers put their creative skills to use and created over 110 hats and numerous scarves to be handed out at the 8th annual Wonderland Express event on December 13, at Sunriver Resort. Over 200 families will receive a special holiday dinner, warm winter items, groceries to take home and much more. A special thanks to Cynthia and Jerry Fellows for all of their support!
