Suncadia Chefs Win Seattle Lamb Jam Competition
Chefs Oscar Guitron and Alex Paguaga of Suncadia Resort's Portals Restaurant won Best of Show in the 2012 Seattle Lamb Jam Competition on October 23, 2011. Chef Guitron and Paguaga beat popular Seattle-area restaurants to win the top prize.
Guitron and Paguaga won for their Lamb Shoulder dish consisting of Sumac marsala rubbed-lamb shoulder with cauliflower puree, royal pine mushrooms, and honey crisp apple (perfectly cooked meat complimented by wonderful flavors and textures).
Winning Best of Show means that Guitron and Paguaga’s dish will represent Seattle in the national Lamb Jam Competition in New York later this year.
