Lord Gore Restaurant at Manor Vail Lodge to Participate in Taste of Vail
The Taste of Vail is one of the Vail Valley's most loved spring events! This Thursday April 4th, The Taste of Vail held one of its signature events; The 9th Annual Colorado Lamb Cook off and Après Ski Tasting. Twenty two restaurants competed in the cook-off with signature lamb dishes from the kitchens of Vail, Colorado’s finest chefs, our very own Chef Weston Schroeder C.E.C. presented a mouthwatering braised Lamb Arancini with Truffle Aioli and Achiote oil resulting in the People’s Choice Award!
Today, April 5th will be Mountain Top Picnic at the top of Eagles Nest where Vail’s restaurants serve up a decadent picnic fare. For this event, Chef Weston will be presenting sweet Crème Brule Cheese Cake with Vanilla Cream and Smoke Caramel Sauce. Lastly, for Saturday’s Grand Tasting Event, Chef Weston will be heating up Kobe Beef Short Ribs with Potato Celeriac Puree and Crispy Shallot.
These events are a celebration of supreme wine and culinary excellence. Chef Weston demonstrates a strong back ground in fresh seafood, modern American cuisine, regional Italian cuisine and creative menu development. He is certified as a Pro Chef Level II, Level I Sommelier and named “Chef of the year 2006” by the Greater Kansas City Food & Wine Association.
Chef Weston Schroeder joins The Taste of Vail and the Vail Valley by continuing to add knowledge and new flair to The Manor Vail Lodge’s Lord Gore Restaurant, located at the base of Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak, renowned for distinctive cuisine, fireside dining and mouthwatering views. Join us for dinner before the mountain closes April 14th, Thursday through Saturday 5:30PM – 10:00PM.
