School is back in session and the holidays are around the corner, making now the perfect time to carve out a moment for yourself and enjoy a great bottle of wine! Right now in Texas one of the best red wines to try comes straight from Texas and is made from Sangiovese red grapes, which also go in Chianti. Sangiovese is an ancient and DNA reveals that Sangiovese's ancestors are Ciliegiolo (from Tuscany) and Calabrese Montenuovo (an almost-extinct grape from the Calabria in Italy’s southern tip.) This means that Sangiovese is a bonafied hot climate grape and it has a real knack for digging its roots into limestone and incorporating the minerality into its complex flavor profile. Here are two must-try fall wines we're featuring this month.

Those who grow their own food will all agree that everything tastes better when you grow it yourself. However, those of us living in more urban areas find it difficult to grow our own produce. For us, the next best thing is finding out where our came from – it’s amazing how great food can taste when you are eating with a clear conscience. At The Inverness Hotel in Denver, Colorado, we want to deliver the freshest ingredients while also supporting local farmers. We believe that our food simply tastes the best while we’re giving back to the state we love to call home. Read more to learn about the products grown locally that we are currently using.
Not only is locally sourced food important to us, but we strive to use locally grown seasonal products in all of our dishes. Here are some of our favorite local ingredients currently being featured on our menu!
