Temperatures in Tampa Bay begin to climb, thousands of spring breakers fill the Gulf Coast beaches of Florida’s West Coast and summer’s humidity is still weeks away. A perfect time to visit Tampa Bay, and the InterContinental Tampa.
In April, a new service will launch in Tampa to enhance the visitor’s experience in the Tampa Bay area, BIKE SHARE. It is a great way to be healthy, be green and explore one of America’s great waterfront cities at a very reasonable cost. Prices for BIKE SHARE are set at $5 per day, monthly and annual passes are also available for residents.
The rental process is very simple, there are four rental locations strategically located around the downtown core. New high tech bikes with computer tracking and GPS units are rented via credit card similar to the process used in modern parking lots. Riders then explore Tampa’s most exciting neighborhoods including historic Ybor City, beautiful Bayshore Boulevard, or the urban chic area of Hyde Park Village finding unique shopping, dining and historic attractions along the way. Biking gives the visitor a street level view of the Tampa Bay area that is just not possible from a car or bus. When the bikes are retuned to any rental location and checked in the card is charged for the time used.
With fantastic spring and summer rates InterContinental Tampa puts you in the center of all Tampa Bay’s excitement. Our At Your Side Concierge can easily arrange your BAY BY BIKE TOUR and hundreds of other uniquely designed Tampa Bay experiences.
